Dental Implants Dentist in Holland, MI

Yes, you can get dental implants for front teeth. But since these teeth are highly visible, it’s important that you see a dentist who’s qualified to perform the procedure and has a long history of producing good results for their patients.

A front tooth implant can greatly improve your self-esteem, allowing you to eat, talk, and smile with confidence.

Here are some of the other benefits of getting dental implants for front teeth.

Prevent Jawbone Deterioration

As soon as your body detects a missing tooth, it starts to absorb the minerals in your jawbone to use elsewhere. If left untreated, the jawbone will continue to deteriorate and eventually lead to a condition called “facial collapse.”

As the name suggests, facial collapse causes the patient’s profile to look sunken and can add years to their appearance. The good news is that a dental implant can prevent this process from happening in the first place.

A dental implant is a prosthetic tooth root that’s made out of a titanium alloy. As such, it exerts pressure on the jawbone so the tissue remains healthy. While dentures sit on top of your gums, dental implants are embedded in the jawbone and help prevent bone loss.

Enjoy a Natural-Looking Smile for Life

Dental implants can last a lifetime if you practice good oral hygiene. This means that you’ll need to take care of your dental implants like you would natural teeth. Make sure that you brush your teeth twice a day and floss once daily. That way, you’ll be able to remove plaque from the surface of your teeth.

You should also see our dentist at least every 6 months so we can monitor the condition of your dental implants. Dental implants tend to last longer when the rest of the mouth is healthy.

Plan Your Smile Makeover Before Getting Dental Implants

If you plan on getting your teeth professionally whitened, you may want to get it done before you get your dental implant crown. That way, your front tooth implant will match the same shade of white as the rest of your smile.

During your consultation, our dentist will be able to help plan your entire smile makeover in our office. The dental implant process doesn’t have to be intimidating when you schedule an appointment with Macatawa Smiles.

While you can get dental implants for front teeth, it’s vitally important that you see a dentist with the correct training and experience. Since front teeth show when you smile and talk, any minor imperfection will be highly noticeable. As a result, we encourage you to take your time when researching and choosing a dental implant dentist.

Dear Patient Family,

The COVID-19 pandemic has been a difficult time for all of us. Many of you have been forced to wait for dental care and we appreciate your understanding while we kept our office closed to follow orders from the Governor's Office.

We are happy to say that we are opening our office for all patient treatment on June 1st, 2020. Our hours of operation will go back to normal, Monday-Thursday 8am - 5pm. We want you to know that there will be some changes at your next appointment. Please be patient with us as our protocols will inevitably change as new guidelines are released.

  • We ask that you use our parking lot as the waiting room.
  • Please wear a mask when you come into the office and leave it on until entering the treatment room. Homemade is acceptable.
  • Only the person receiving treatment should come in the building, all others will be asked to wait in the car if at all possible. The exception will be for our minor patients who may have one parent accompany them.
  • We will be asking you some questions when you arrive at the office and we will also be taking your temperature.
  • We will not be able to offer magazines, drinks, or toys at this time as they cannot be disinfected to our standards. Eventually this will change and we will be happy to offer our amenities once again.

These changes have been made to adhere to the latest CDC guidelines and for the benefit of our patients and our staff. We want you to know that our office has always taken the safety of our patients very seriously and that we will continue to follow the highest levels of sterilization and disinfection to keep you protected. If you would like more information on what measures we have taken we would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

We cannot say how excited we are to see all of our patients again and to provide for their dental needs. We look forward to seeing all of your smiling faces soon!
