Holland Mi Dental Bridge Dentists

If you’re missing one or more teeth, you may be wondering how to restore your smile and confidence. Fortunately, our dentists in Holland, MI, offer dental bridge treatment as a reliable and natural-looking solution. A dental bridge is a prosthetic tooth anchored in place by dental crowns on dental implants or adjacent teeth that have been prepared for the procedure.

Here are seven key benefits of choosing a dental bridge.

1. Restores Your Smile

A missing tooth can affect more than just your ability to chew. It can also impact your self-esteem. Dental bridges help you smile with confidence again by replacing the visible gap with a lifelike prosthetic. The materials used are color-matched to your natural teeth, creating a seamless look.

2. Improves Chewing and Speaking Abilities

Missing teeth can make eating uncomfortable and may even alter the way you speak. A dental bridge restores full function by allowing you to chew properly and pronounce words clearly. Over time, patients often forget they’re even wearing a bridge because it feels so natural.

3. Prevents Teeth from Shifting

When a tooth is missing, the neighboring teeth tend to drift into the empty space. This movement can lead to bite misalignment and long-term oral health problems. Dental bridge treatment fills the gap and keeps your teeth in their proper positions, maintaining a healthy bite.

4. Maintains Facial Structure

Teeth play an important role in supporting your cheeks and lips. Without them, your facial structure can appear sunken or aged. Dental bridges help maintain a more youthful appearance by supporting the natural shape of your face.

5. Distributes Bite Forces Evenly

When you’re missing a tooth, the surrounding teeth take on extra pressure during chewing, which can lead to wear and damage. The dental bridge procedure helps distribute your bite forces more evenly across all your teeth, reducing the risk of stress-related damage.

6. Fixed and Convenient Solution

Unlike removable dentures, dental bridges are cemented in place and don’t require daily removal. You can care for a bridge much like your natural teeth, with regular brushing, flossing, and dental visits. This fixed option offers peace of mind and convenience in your daily routine.

7. Cost-Effective Compared to Implants

While dental implants are another excellent tooth replacement option, they may not be ideal for everyone due to cost or health conditions. Dental bridges offer a more affordable solution that still delivers reliable results in both appearance and function.

COVID-19 UPDATE FROM DR. HABECKER AND HIS TEAM

Dear Patient Family,

The COVID-19 pandemic has been a difficult time for all of us. Many of you have been forced to wait for dental care and we appreciate your understanding while we kept our office closed to follow orders from the Governor's Office.

We are happy to say that we are opening our office for all patient treatment on June 1st, 2020. Our hours of operation will go back to normal, Monday-Thursday 8am - 5pm. We want you to know that there will be some changes at your next appointment. Please be patient with us as our protocols will inevitably change as new guidelines are released.

  • We ask that you use our parking lot as the waiting room.
  • Please wear a mask when you come into the office and leave it on until entering the treatment room. Homemade is acceptable.
  • Only the person receiving treatment should come in the building, all others will be asked to wait in the car if at all possible. The exception will be for our minor patients who may have one parent accompany them.
  • We will be asking you some questions when you arrive at the office and we will also be taking your temperature.
  • We will not be able to offer magazines, drinks, or toys at this time as they cannot be disinfected to our standards. Eventually this will change and we will be happy to offer our amenities once again.

These changes have been made to adhere to the latest CDC guidelines and for the benefit of our patients and our staff. We want you to know that our office has always taken the safety of our patients very seriously and that we will continue to follow the highest levels of sterilization and disinfection to keep you protected. If you would like more information on what measures we have taken we would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

We cannot say how excited we are to see all of our patients again and to provide for their dental needs. We look forward to seeing all of your smiling faces soon!
